In a 4 cup glass measuring cup*, place sugar, cloves, cinnamon, orange and lemon rinds and 3 - 4 slices (about 3/4's worth) of the orange. Set aside the remaining orange to use in a bit. Add tea bags and enough water to reach the 4 cup mark on the measuring glass. Gently mix and place in microwave for at least 4 minutes, or until just about reaches a boil. Remove from microwave, cover with a plate, and let steep 10 minutes.
In another 4 cup measuring cup place ice cubes and enough water to make 4 cups. Once the tea has finished steeping, give it a gentle stir to dissolve the sugar. Feel free to remove the tea bags and any other paraphernalia to make this task easier. Stir in honey and juice of the remaining orange until dissolved.
Place a mesh strainer over the pitcher in which you'd like to serve this delicious refreshment. Extract the ice from the ice water mixture and put it in the strainer. Pour warm tea over the ice and into the pitcher. Give the tea a stir and pour enough of the ice water (where the ice once resided) into the pitcher until you have 8 cups total. Stir again.
Pour yourself a glass, sit back, and enjoy this amazing beverage!
