Unbelievably good. Undeniably delicious.
Squirt half the lemon over tops and the other lemon half over bottoms of salmon. Brush fillets with olive oil, and sprinkle with with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Flip and do the same on the other side. Place each seasoned salmon on a piece of foil large enough to fold over and seal. Wrap up salmon tightly in the foil packets.
Preheat a charcoal or gas grill. Place the foil packets on the hot grill and cook for 10 minutes for a 1-inch thick piece of salmon. Serve plain, or with tartar sauce.
Homemade tartar sauce:
In a bowl, combine chopped onion or chives, pickle, mayonnaise, and seasonings and mix well. Taste and adjust seasonings, if desired.
*1 T. dried chives can be substituted if you don't have green onions or fresh chives on hand.
